Terms of use

Use Siftory with your originals backed up.

Siftory is a screenshot organization utility, not a backup service. These terms explain the conditions that apply when you use the app and website.

Service availability

Features, compatibility, and availability may change as Siftory is improved. Updates may add, change, or retire functionality, but Siftory will not require payment merely to view or delete content already stored in your local index.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important images and information. Review screenshot selections carefully before approving deletion through Apple Photos. Items deleted from Photos may be recoverable from Recently Deleted for a limited period, subject to Apple’s behavior and your settings.

Classification and recognized text

OCR, categories, search results, duplicate suggestions, extracted dates, and other automated results can be incomplete or wrong. They are organizational suggestions, not professional, financial, medical, or legal advice.

If you explicitly enable Optional Enhanced AI, eligible redacted OCR excerpts may be processed by Siftory’s service and OpenAI as described in the privacy policy. You remain responsible for reviewing automated category suggestions.

Permissions

Siftory functions depend on permissions you choose to grant, such as Photos, notifications, calendar, microphone, and speech recognition. You can change those permissions in iOS Settings, but doing so may limit related features.

Acceptable use

Do not use Siftory to violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or applicable law. You must have the right to process content stored in your library.

Premium features

Premium prices, duration, renewal terms, trial conditions, and included functionality are shown by the App Store before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. App Store purchases are governed by Apple’s billing terms as well as these terms. Existing personal content remains viewable if a paid entitlement ends.

Availability and liability

Siftory is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Siftory is not responsible for indirect losses, missed reminders, incorrect classification, or data loss arising from use of the software.
